Vacancy: Medical Officer
Seboche Mission Hospital, a Roman Catholic health institution committed to providing quality and compassionate healthcare services, invites applications from suitably qualified and dedicated individuals for the position of Medical Officer.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in MBChB or MD from a recognised institution
- Registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Council
- ECFMG certified or eligible
- Minimum of three (3) years’ clinical experience
- A Master’s Degree in Health Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) will be an added advantage
- Ability to work effectively in a rural healthcare setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to professionalism, patient confidentiality, and quality care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients
- Diagnose, treat, and manage patients according to established clinical guidelines
- Prescribe medication appropriately and ensure safe patient management
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Uphold ethical standards and hospital values
