Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF’s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC)), Unit aid etc.
JOB SUMMARY
- Provides direct clinical care to patients in corners/clinics where HIV and TB services are typically provided with a focus on complicated/difficult cases given their clinical training.
- Provides clinical mentorship and supportive technical/programmatic assistance (TA) regarding the HIV and TB programs at their assigned facility
- Improving HIV and TB case finding at all service delivery points in their assigned health facility, including community outreach services
- Strengthen linkages from HIV testing services and HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment services, including improving their assigned health facility’s referral systems
- Increasing HIV, TB, and PMTCT patients’ adherence and retention in care through improved patient filing and tracking and strategies designed to better retain patients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Medical Degree, Post-graduate qualification in HIV clinical management an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
Extensive clinical experience in care of HIV-infected adults and children in settings like Lesotho
Experience in HIV and TB-project management of public health programs
Experience in the development and implementation of quality improvement / quality improvement tools and systems in developing countries an added advantage
