Medical Laboratory Technologist
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Senior Laboratory Technologist, a Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing various technical tasks to support research and clinical lab operations, ensuring that test results and experiments run smoothly and produce accurate results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses across different disciplines such as clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnosis
- Adhere to strict quality control and assurance protocols to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of laboratory testing
- Interpret test results, analyze data, and identify abnormalities or irregularities indicative of disease, infection, or other health conditions
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and patient information
- Participate in training and workshops directed toward the improvement of laboratory services
- Perform any other duties that may be necessary occasionally
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (a degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage)
- 2 years of working experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good record-keeping and communication skills
