Prime Minister Dr. Moeketsi Majoro launched Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le Beta Poho (Fund) on the 11th March 2021. Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le Beta Poho is the Private Sector led Non Profit Making Organization platform for Basotho from public and private sector, as well as the general public, to contribute financial resources to one common purpose of acquiring Covid -19 vaccine(s). Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le Beta Poho is an agile response vehicle designed to fund acquisition and distribution of Covid – 19 vaccine(s) that will augment the Lesotho’s national health immunization plan and mobilize Basotho to vaccinate against Covid –19. Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le Beta poho works closely with the Government of Lesotho and business in acquiring vaccines, it is separate and independent from both business and government of Lesotho. It is a fund for all Basotho. Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le beta Poho is independently administered and transparently governed. It aims to ensure that all contributions are responsibly administered and disbursed to acquire and distribute effective Covid – 19 vaccines to reach herd immunity.
Sesiu Sa Lets’oele Le Beta Poho is recruiting a Media Consultant for a period of five (5) months, starting April 2021.
The Media Consultant will advise, coordinate and support the Administrator in:
identifying suitable media for information dissemination and building relations with them
maintenance, scheduling, creation and distribution of media coverage in and outside Lesotho including but are not limited to, broadcast, online, face-to-face, and other delivery modalities
The successful candidate will support the implementation of the internal and external
communication function on an operational level and be involved in all internal and external communication tasks on an operational level, as outlined below.
Assist the Administrator in implementing and monitoring all communication duties as set out in the Communication Strategy
Co-ordinate the various internal and external communications initiatives
Draft Press Releases for approval and distribution
Develop media campaigns and events
Advise executives with their speech during interviews and other related public appearances
Advise on all other Copywriting and editing of the Fund’s communication
Undertake Stakeholder relations with the Administrator to build mutually beneficial relationships to facilitate communications and liaise with funders on how to leverage and align their brand communication with that of the Fund
