Role Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work under the administrative supervision of the Programmes Manager. The role focuses on collecting, capturing, analysing, and reporting data to assess outcomes of Seinoli Legal Centre (SLC) projects. The incumbent will coordinate and implement monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning frameworks across all SLC projects and develop systematic M&E frameworks to strengthen qualitative and quantitative evidence.
Overall Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement monitoring and evaluation, research, and learning frameworks across all projects
- Develop systematic monitoring frameworks to improve evidence quality
- Ensure effective data collection and management processes across projects
Specific Responsibilities
- Developing M&E systems: Create frameworks for monitoring and evaluating organisational project activities
- Data collection: Oversee regular collection of project data
- Data capturing: Capture collected data using relevant M&E tools
- Data analysis: Analyse data to identify trends and make recommendations
- Reporting and documentation: Produce quarterly, annual, and other periodic reports; document evaluation findings and lessons learned
- Project support and feedback: Monitor project activities to ensure they remain on track and provide feedback to the Programmes Manager
- Data quality assessment: Regularly assess data quality; conduct spot checks to verify accuracy
- Baseline development: Establish project baselines
- Communication: Prepare reports and presentations based on M&E data and share findings with stakeholders
- Reviews and planning: Participate in annual reviews and planning processes and support preparation of review reports
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of M&E principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Proficiency in M&E software and tools
- Knowledge of data collection techniques (surveys, focus group discussions, interviews)
- Ability to design and implement M&E frameworks

Qualifications
- Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Monitoring & Evaluation or a relevant field
- Prior experience with M&E projects will be an added advantage
