Maths Centre Incorporating Sciences promote excellence in maths, science & technology, ECD and Entrepreneurship education and spread across all provinces, their primary objective is to equip teachers, learners and parents with learning materials and programmes that will further develop their competency and performance in these curriculums for Grades R to 12 in South Africa.
 
MCIS Seeks to appoint a Maths trainer to be based in Tembisa, Ivory and Kagiso.

Remuneration: Available at the interview
 
Employment type: 1-year Fixed Term contract with possibilities of extension upon review of impact. innovative, inspiring. Challenging opportunity at the Math Centre for Maths Trainer.
 
Responsibility:
Teaching and developing Leaners in Maths in High schools 
Deliver training to Leaners and track learner performance in Maths.
Some knowledge of 4IR is useful
Reqiured:
Tertiary qualifications, preferably degree level in Maths.
Teaching qualifications a must. Proof of qualifications must be provided. Resourcefulness, interpersonal skills, eloquent presentation style, very focussed time management, problem-solving capability.
Must be a practicing high school teacher/field trainer for at least 3 years in the CAPS curriculum
Key Performance Areas:
Total focus on impact in SBAs and Matric.
Assist Trainer in conducting teacher workshops and class visits on a regular basis using the Maths Centre Intervention model and SACE
Conduct Saturday schools programme for learners where applicable
Afternoon clinics for potential achiever learners.
Monitoring and evaluation of project
Develop quality training packages and materials for SACE workshops conducted
Recording and Reporting of all intervention activities

Useful: Project coordinator/Field Trainer’s experience.

Own functional car an absolute must.
