Job Responsibilities:
Performing concrete laboratory tests on construction materials(asphalt, concrete and soil)
Resolve problems with unusual soil and aggregate samples and special concrete mix designs
stripping and labeling samples
Setting samples for curing
Monitoring daily temperature logs and breaking of samples
Assisting with field work and other laboratory functions when needed
Working in a team environment maintaining a clean and organized laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements
Assisting in the laboratory helping with advanced and new testing methods
Write reports and provide feedback to management
Advise immediately the lab manager or the site production assistant or manager if tests results shows not conformity refers to technical specification requirement
Mainyain the equipment, instruments and related apparatus on good and proper condition
Advise the laboratory manager if some consumable material need to be purchased
Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
Always use proper DPI during the execution of his duties
Qualifications:
Must have National Diploma/ B Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent
5+ years direct experience in construction materials testing
Must be familiar with tunnel monitoring tools
Driver’s license an added advantage
