Botanical oils (Pty) Ltd currently requires the services of a Master Grower (MG) in Lesotho. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 2 – 5 Years’ experience in a MG position with 2 – 5 years’ experience in a GACP Approved Facility, having cultivated no less than 5000 Medical Cannabis Plants in one Grow. Purpose
- Oversee and manage all growing activities in Mother Room, Propagation, Vegetation and Flower Rooms.
- Manage Nutritional and Moisture requirements per plant across all the grow operations.
- Managing change of nutritional= programs as per need of the crop during different growing scenarios.
- Plan and Maintain Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Principles and execute as per planning.
- To provide training and mentor to all staff members regarding GACP and/or GMP practices about cultivation and good agricultural practices (GAP).
- To manage all junior growers assigned to activities and cultivation practices.
- Make sure GACP and/or GMP are applied in cultivation of products of Eurocan.
- To propose ideas for Eurocan´s cultivation efficiencies´ and effectiveness´ improvement.
- To assure that all implemented procedures are followed on the site according to each product requirements and customer requirements as established in specific Quality or Technical agreement.
- To promote the importance of high-quality levels and the importance of a continuous improvement culture in all core company activities.
- Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality of all aspect related to the Eurocan Brand as a whole.
Requirements
Base Requirements
- Bachelor’s in agriculture
- 2 to 5 years of experience in the Cultivation of Medical Cannabis in a GACP Regulated Facility.
- Strong knowledge on IPM and GAP practices within a protected horticultural environment.
- Strong knowledge on Nutritional requirements and Deficiencies for specific strains cultivated for Medicinal use.
- Knowledge of EU GMP, GACP and GPP mandatory
Specific Requirements
- Experience in Good Documentation Practices and perfecting SOPs as well as working with internal and external audits.
- Police clearance Mandatory.
