POSITION: Marketing Communications Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Customer Experience
REPORTING TO: Marketing Communications Manager
PURPOSE:
To support the formulation of the marketing strategy and the annual marketing and communication plan in line with Marketing’s AOPs.
Key duties/Responsibilities
– Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
– Support marketing executives in organizing various projects/campaigns
– Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires
– Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
– Weekly and monthly media monitoring reports
– Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
– Product marketing support
– Write marketing literature to augment the company’s presence in the market
– Ensures availability of communication material for the sales channel
– Ensures brand presence across the country and sponsored events
Qualifications & Experience:
· First Degree in Marketing, Business management or Communications
- 2 to 4years’ experience in marketing
Competencies:
- Ability to interact, negotiate and achieve targets.
- Event planning experience
- Excellent attitude, excellent written and verbal communication and people skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and customer-service orientated.
- Ability to handle multiple requests/projects simultaneously and prioritise.
- Provide motivation, training and support to team members.
- Ability to demonstrate clear & confident communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem solving ability.
- Willing to work outside normal office hours from time-to-time when required.
