Marketing Assistant Consumer & Trade Shopper Marketing (Personal Health)
Job Description
In this role, you have the opportunity to support the marketing function for Personal Health in South Africa, particularly on Consumer Promotions, Trade Shopper Marketing and take the ownership of digital marketing support, such like website updates and consumer improvements to the web journey. This is in line with the refocused strategy for South Africa – to win in store and online.
Your responsibilities
Performs, as a specialized worker, general Marketing assignments that require consultation of specialists, including specifically trade shopper management and digital support.
Business Administration Processes: assist with all Marketing related administration tasks:
Cost estimates and purchase orders
Processing invoices
Samples
Assist with month end reporting
Assist with preparation of presentations, as and when required
Category and Project Involvement: assist across the team with marketing activities related to all categories with specific duties related to:
New Product Introduction Process – support with insight development, analytical tasks including analysing and reporting on product sales performance, competitor analysis and market trends, in order to identify and further develop with current/new product ranges.
Annual Category Marketing Plan – Support the team in the preparation of annual category marketing plans. Assist in sourcing of relevant category , consumer insights that will be used as input into the category marketing plan
Managing & implementing agreed Cross Category Consumer Promotions – full implementation with project management and reporting of all elements
Coordinate and implement the critical Trade Shopper Marketing initiatives through planning and full execution, with regular maintenance checks and adjustments.
Website & Digital Support- Support the team in sourcing of relevant category, consumer insights that will drive the digital journey on our own channels and through customer vehicles, and implementation of this.
You are a part of the Marketing Team for Personal Health business in South Africa and you will work closely with the full marketing and sales teams, and be a pillar for operational excellence and execution in the trade with our customers, and instore and online with our consumers.
This position will be reporting to the Marketing Manager, Personal Health South Africa.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Degree in marketing
Extensive knowledge of the South African retail landscape, and preferably small appliance or electronics industry in South Africa.
Strong ability to evaluate or resolve tasks and projects on a timely manner.
Experience in managing multiple agencies and stakeholders internally & externally
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Attention to detail
Positive attitude and performance under high pressure
Interactive, self-motivated, open to changes, performing towards targets
Results focused and performance driven
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and continually meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills-interpersonal, verbal, and written
Fluent in English (both verbal and written) and able to communicate on all levels
Ability to work successfully with different cultures across organization boundaries
