Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for an Activation Lead to help us build our brand presence across the SA and support the growth of the company through online and offline campaign activations. You will be part of the SA marketing team and will be presented with the unique opportunity to help establish the brand and drive mass awareness for one of the fastest growing companies in the ride-hailing category. What you will be working on:

  • Responsible for the all city marketing campaigns that will help drive DiDi’s awareness and growth in SA
  • Driving all online and offline activation campaigns across SA cities.
  • Localise the execution of DiDi’s brand strategy to resonate with the city’s cultural references.
  • Utilise data-driven decision making to improve the performance of our marketing efforts, prioritizing initiatives based on the highest potential impact.
  • Develop Budget and Marketing Campaign Performance trackers.
  • Build and execute partnerships with other brands to drive awareness and relevance in SA.
  • Activate the brand in different city-relevant customer touchpoints (i.e. events, malls, public areas, hospitality venues).
  • Manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Understand different attribution models and analyze the different channels for efficient media mix.
  • Work cross-functionally and with our Marketing DDirector to help establish the systems and processes that will consistently drive our business growth.


What you need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience building and managing marketing campaigns with a mix of digital, offline and BTL experience.
  • Experience in working with agencies.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills to frame marketing strategies, understand results and support proposed approaches, with a demonstrated ability to utilize consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and improve the consumer experience.
  • Strong ability to influence other areas of the organization and third party in negotiations.
  • An ability to effectively provide input on creative development from a local market perspective and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving context without compromising on the speed and quality of execution
  • Experience in ride hailing, food delivery, fintech, startup and highly dynamic companies is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
