Manual QA Tester
About the position
We are growing and looking to recruit for our remote team an experienced QA Manual Tester to help us do manual testing of the applications we develop on top of the existing automatic tests.
You’ll work alongside other (remote) developers and testers that will support us in the creation of flawless websites and applications;
Position’s responsibilities are:
- Understand fully the scope of the project and its intended functionality;
- Get familiar with user stories and go beyond them;
- Collaborate with project team members to define testing scope and approach;
- Develop a test checklist for a project that describes test actions for all stakeholders / personas.
- Execute test cases for assigned project work;
- Submit detailed defects identified during the testing process; verify the bugs when they are resolved;
- Report test results, status, concerns, and risks;
- Conduct post-production release testing
- Understand and support both website, mobile, and accessibility standards for testing
- Stay informed about industry best practices;
- Communicate with others, including project managers, on struggles and progress of each of the projects;
- Help us refine and improve our QA process:
QA Tester requirements are:
- 3+ years’ experience of working in a QA or similar role;
- Basic technical knowledge is desired but not mandatory;
- Great communication skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication, effectively communicating issues and resolutions
- Knowledge of prioritizing projects and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines
- Highly motivated and works with minimum supervision and remote location.
