Description

Reporting to the board of directors and chairman of the board, the Managing Director provides the strategic vision, planning and operational leadership to ensure that the company’s investment decisions optimize Vodacom Lesotho ability to compete in the market and grow the return on investment for shareholders.The Managing Director role carries a wide range of responsibilities and accountabilities that contribute to the overall achievement of Vodacom Lesotho’s business development and profitability objectives.

Job Responsibility

*Formulate and recommend to the board a strategic plan with clear objectives and performance targets.

*Oversee business operations and drive compliance with legal and regulatory requirements to build credibility.

*Ensure the optimal utilization of resources to drive business performance and organisational success.

*Identify opportunities and implement new methods of improving existing operations.

*Be the custodian of the Vodacom Lesotho brand and ensure Vodacom Lesotho remains an employer of choice.

*Maintain strong relations with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate should have at least 15 years’ experience in the Communications industry, 5 of which should have been at senior management level with responsibility for driving key commercial levers in a multinational business and Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities which enable the business to fulfil its stated purpose.
