Description

Closing Date: 7th December 2022

Reporting to the VCL Financial Services MD, the incumbent shall be responsible to formulate and implement M-Pesa merchant acquisition and retention strategy. S/He shall also ensure the alignment of the Merchant division strategy to the overarching VCL Financial Services Strategy and the group strategy, and develop marketing strategies to keep merchant services as a default payment channel for customer, while managing the Merchant Budget and allocating it accordingly.

Job Responsibility

Adapt and communicate the channel strategy internally, and effectively communicate products both internally and  externally

Manages the M-Pesa merchant acquisition, retention, and all related expenditure

Drives active portfolio and lifecycle management of channel proposition

Manages post-implementation reviews and recommends actions based on channel performance and product performance.

Recruit, manage, train, motivate direct reporting staff

Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Team and Product Management
  • Basic knowledge of the Mobile Money business value chain and
  • Proven experience in Relationship Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in a commercial discipline
