Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho candidates for the following position:

Department : Finance and Administration
Job Title : Manager Human Resources
Reports to : Head Finance and Administration

Purpose of the Job:
The Manager Human Resources is responsible for advising on HR strategies and policies and ensure that the HR function provides the support and contribution required to advice the management on how to fully utilize their HR through the application of HR processes, systems and procedures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Advices the Chief Executive and colleagues on the human resource and employee relations policies required by the Corporation in all areas of HR management in order to uphold core values;
• Formulates and implements HR strategies that are fully integrated with business strategies and cohere over all aspects of human resource management and develops plans to implement the strategies.;
• Plans and directs human development, performance and career management processes and programme designed
to improve individual and organisational effectiveness and to give employees the best opportunities to develop their abilities and careers in the Corporation.
• Develops reward management and remuneration policies, processes and procedures that attract, retain and motivate employees and are internally equitable as well as externally competitive, and operate cost-effectively;
• Advices on employee relations and communication strategies and policies designed to maximise involvement and
commitment while minimising conflict;
• Advices on the development of knowledge management processes;
• Directs and controls the operations of the HR functions to ensure that it provides cost-effective services throughout the organisation;
• Ensures through advice and monitoring that HR policies are implemented and consistently, and that the core values of the company concerning people are upheld, especially those concerned with fairness;
• Administers the execution of the payroll;
• Prepares annual plans and budget estimates, implements and maintains them;


Education and Qualifications:

Post Graduate Degree in Human Resource, A Masters degree in Human Resource Management would be an added advantage.

Professional Experience:
Five (5) years post qualifying experience, three years of which must have been in senior management level in Human Resource function.

Competences:
• Demonstratable expertise both theoretically and practically;
• Ability to forge strong business relationships with diversified client groups and line colleagues;
• Easy to adapt, persuade, infl uence and deliver within a challenging environment;
• Good analytical, presentation and people skills;
• Computer literacy
