Description

Reporting to the Executive Head of Human Resources, the role of the incumbent shall be To plan, oversee, manage and direct all activities relating to the acquisition, rental, management and maintenance of the company’s fleet and facilities in line with approved policies and procedures. The incumbent shall be responsible  for managing relationships and ensuring adherence to contracts by suppliers, managing budgets as well as ensuring that all Health and Safety protocols are observed in the management of facilities and fleet.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive deliverables and outputs that relate to facilities and fleet requirements, including all the functions and services that relate to Property and Fleet Management.
  • Manage the maintenance and general cleanliness and operational efficiency of all facilities & fleet owned or leased by Vodacom.
  • Support the management of all contracts within the Fleet and Facilities sub-division, including establishing scopes of work, implementing contracts, and assuring day-today specification compliance. Assist SCM with contract administration as needed.
  • Provide a safe and secure work environment by ensuring that all facilities and fleet are managed and operated in line with Vodacom’s Health & Safety Policies.
  • Develop and manage adherence to all facilities & fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Manage facilities and fleet risks and audits, and ensure risk treatment actions are implemented and all audit findings are closed timeously.
  • Direct and manage staff, monitoring work activities. Ensure staff training and development opportunities, and the completion of employee performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • A qualification in facilities management
  • A qualification in the HSWE field will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in property and fleet management
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety principles, practices and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting principles
