Job Title : Manager-Consumer Affairs and Communications
Responsible to: Chief Executive
Location : Maseru
Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Chief Executive, Manager-Consumer Affairs and Communications shall be responsible for the development and implementation of LEWA’s Communication Strategy. The Manager shall develop a strategic and effective communications plan for LEWA, directly managing communication activities that promote, enhance and protects LEWA’s reputation. The Manager shall oversee the implementation of the customer complaints rules and procedures.
Key Result Areas
Ensure sustainable public empowerment on their rights on electricity and water regulation.
Build alliances with regional and international stakeholders in promoting awareness of the Authority.
Facilitate the establishment of a stakeholders’ forum and calendar for meetings.
Develop and manage public awareness and educational activities.
Provide professional input to tariff or revenue setting reviews of licencees and capital expenditure projections.
Resolve customer complaints.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Communication, Journalism or equivalent with at least ten (10) years relevant working experience in a senior position.
Master’s Degree in Mass Communication /Journalism or equivalent will be an added advantage.
A postgraduate qualification in Energy, Water or Management will be an added advantage.
Work experience in a regulatory environment will be an added advantage.
Remuneration and Benefits
The Authority offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Contract Duration
Five (5) years performance based contract, which may be renewed upon satisfactory performance.
