Position Title & Location :
Manager BI Reporting and Analysis IMETA Durban, SA


Position Purpose :
This position will lead business intelligence and advanced analytics for the IMETA region, focusing on standardized reporting, delivering on business insights and support of advanced analytics based projects


Major/Key Accountabilities :

Reporting

  • Oversee the roll out of a business intelligence framework for IMETA and ensure it is executed according to plan.
  • Work with the wider IMETA team to develop a strategy that supports business needs and objectives
  • Develop and deploy reports as per business needs in IMETA (ensuring data accuracy and stability).
  • Translate business requirements in visual dashboards to support strategy.
  • Standardize reports across IMETA
  • Ensure data quality and leverage of best practices in order to improve service to business stakeholders.
  • Ensure reports are delivered on a timely manner.

Insights and Analysis

  • Liase with stakeholders across the region to gain insights relevant for reporting

Advanced Analytics

  • Lead the data science and advanced analytics function for IMETA, including supporting Asset Management and BXBD initiatives

Continuous improvement

  • Support business projects and initiatives
  • Continuously look for ways to improve data analytics and reporting across IMETA


Qualifications :

Business degree and a minimum of 4 years working experience in a similar role.


Experience :

  • Previous reporting/business intelligence experience.
  • Experience in standardising reporting across multiple regions/businesses
  • Worked with measures and KPIs.
  • Working with remote teams.
  • Proved experience with Project Management (manage priorities, resource Allocation, standardization, automation, troubleshooting and mid/long term planning).
  • Experience with creating reporting frameworks that address strategic priorities
  • Experience with process automation and workload reduction.
  • Experience implementing new software.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Experience with software development (programming).
  • Databases knowledge (SQL).

  • Very good customer orientated communication skills.
  • Must be extremely flexible and able to work under pressure.
