LAT Financial Services is a microfinance company owned by the Lesotho Association of Teachers and its members. As a regulated financial institution under the oversight of the Central Bank of Lesotho, LAT Financial Services is dedicated to providing financial solutions and services to empower individuals and communities in Lesotho.
LAT Financial Services is seeking a dynamic and visionary Manager to lead the company into its next phase of growth and development. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, ensuring strategic goals are met, and upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategy, in alignment with the board of directors, to drive growth and profitability while fulfilling the company’s mission.
2. Financial Management:
Maintain financial stability, monitor budgets, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial goals and ensure sustainability.
3. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the company adheres to all regulations set forth by the Central Bank of Lesotho, maintaining compliance in all operations and transactions.
4. Team Leadership:
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
5. Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and strategic risks, safeguarding the company’s reputation and assets.
6. Stakeholder Relations:
Cultivate positive relationships with shareholders, government agencies, partners, and other stakeholders, representing the company effectively.
7. Product Development:
Drive innovation and diversification of financial products and services, adapting to the evolving needs of clients.
8. Customer Focus:
Champion customer-centric practices and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
9. Corporate Governance:
Ensure sound corporate governance practices and transparency throughout the organization.
10. Performance Measurement:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report to the board on company performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Required Skills and Competencies:
– Proven 5 years’ experience as a Manager or in a senior role in the financial industry.
– Strong understanding of microfinance operations and regulatory requirements.
– Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
– Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
– Sound financial acumen and risk management expertise.
– Commitment to ethical business practices and social responsibility.
– Valid driver’s license.
– Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field;
– A postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
