Maintenance Superintendent Electrical & Mechanical (Grade 8/HRL15U)
Sappi Ngodwana Mill requires a MAINTENANCE SUPERINTENDENT ELECTRICAL to supervise the assigned skilled trades and coordinate the safe performance of maintenance tasks and related activities to ensure a long-term plant availability and reliability.
This role reports into the Head of Maintenance.
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- Assess equipment, materials and labour needed to complete large and or complex maintenance task for ensuring that maintenance activities meet standards
- Collaborates with others (e.g. contractors, vendors, etc.) for implementing and maintaining services and or programs
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment and vehicle(s) for ensuring their availability as needed to meet assigned maintenance objectives
- Required to work standby and overtime as required
- Communicate with the internal and external supplier and Internal customers
- Assist in personnel management of the department employees
- Assess staff against Position Profile & coaches and mentors team members
- Understands the SHEQ requirements of the Section
- Monitor subordinate’s performance against SHEQ requirements and corrects non-conformances
The ideal candidate should have:
- Post Matric / Diploma / NQF Level 6
- Recognised Trade Certificate (Manpower/Seta accredited)
- 5 years’ plant operations experience
- Computer Literate (MS Office Package)
- Valid driving license
- Pulp and Paper industry experience advantageous
- SAP knowledge advantageous
