MAINTENANCE PLUMBER
RESPONSIBLE TO: ADMINISTRATOR
SALARY: GRADE E
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Administrator the technician is responsible for plumbing, building and maintenance work throughout the College and residential houses of the tenants in accordance with the safety act and College policy and provide services to all the departments that requires maintenance related assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs general building maintenance, routine cleaning and inspection of all plumbing to determine faults and malfunctions, i.e. drainage, supply line, toilet, sinks etc.
- Attends to all plumbing and building maintenance requests that were made and sanctioned by the supervisor.
- Prepares and implements schedule pertaining to plumbing and building works.
- Oversees all the maintenance subcontractor working on site and ensures compliance with standards or specifications.
- Produces periodic reports on the state of assets as well as work undertaken.
- To manage subordinates when on duty according to business requirements.
- Any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Plumbing Certificate or equivalent qualification + two (2) years’ experience
Having worked at Higher Education Institution is an added advantage.
