The main purpose of the job is to ensure that all equipment and facility requirements for production is operating at 100% efficiency at all times.
Reporting: This role will report to the Maintenance Leader
Job Objectives

Preventive & Corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility.

Purchasing of maintenance work & spares (service, repairs).

Support AM activities together with production department.

Calibration and inspection of torque tools, measurement tools and test equipment.

Documentation of all equipment on to the master list.

Assisting in the installation of new manufacturing equipment

Troubleshooting and repair of tools and equipment.
-
Support production in continuous improvement action log.
-
Being part of Engineering and Maintenance team in Durban plant also means to support colleagues in other areas if needed.
Education & Job Experience
-
Matric/NQF 6 or any related qualification will be advantageous
-
Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience from similar work environment

Must be Computer Literacy

Must meet medical requirements (SIGHT/COLOUR/HEARING/WORKING ON HEIGHTS).

Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule when required

Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.
Job Knowledge & Skills
-
Good knowledge in assembly process and equipment, preferably from automotive industry.
-
Knowledge in 5S. Other knowledge within Lean Manufacturing is an advantage.

Knowledge of measuring equipment and calibration.
-
Structured with good analytical and problem solving skills. Including the ability and willingness to apply a systematic approach to the process.

Ability to work well within a team required.

Can prioritise workload and multi-task.
