Position: Maintenance Officer – LRCC
Job Purpose
Under general supervision and guidance of the maintenance Supervisor, install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures and may install or service lights, intercom systems or electrical control systems. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes
Key Performance Areas /Responsibilities
– Test electrical systems and diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to relocate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
– Maintan or repair blueprints to determine the location
– Prepare sketches or follow blueprints the location of wiring and equipment to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
– Provide assistance during emergencies by operating lights and generators, placing flares etc
– Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous and provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for electrical materials and services
– Perfom general maintenance whenever required
Qualifications
– Diploma in Electricity or any equivalent qualification plus minimum of three years’ electricity related and general maintenance experience OR
– Certificate in Electricity or any equivalent qualifications plus Minimum of 5 years Electricity related and general maintenance
– Knowledge and experience in plumbing will be an added advantage
