INVITATION TO TENDER NO: MDC/RWS/1/2021/2022
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship (MoLGC) – Maseru District Council has received funds from the Government of Lesotho and intends to apply these funds for Maintenance of Rural Water Supply Projects at Kubake A09 Community Council in Maseru District. Therefore, contractors who possess Rural Water Supply category C or D are invited to tender for the above works for year ending 31st March 2022.
Therefore, contractors who possess DRWS category C or D are invited to tender for the above works for year ending 31st March 2022.
PRICE OF THE TENDER DOCUMENT
Tender documents are available at Maseru District Council (Procurement unit) at a non-refundable value of M2, 000.00 (Two Thousand Maloti Only) during working hours (from 09:30 to 15:30 hrs) from the 15th September 2021. Tender documents will be provided to the potential bidder upon provision of receipt from the District Council’s Finance Office.

SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS
Bid Security
Submission of 1% bid security of the total bid price in favor of Maseru District council from financial institution recognized by the Central bank of Lesotho.
Performance Guarantee
Successful bidder is expected to provide 10% performance guarantee before entering into a contract. It has to be from the Financial Institution recognized by the Government of Lesotho.
Pre-tender meeting
Pre-tender meeting for this tender is compulsory and shall be held on 01st October 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Maseru District Council Board Room, Department of Rural Roads, Khubetsoana.
Site visits
Site visits are compulsory and the dates for the visits will be given during the pre-tender meeting. Site visits are at the Bidders expenses.

- Certified copies of valid registration certificates and appropriate business/trader’s licences for the company and any joint venture partners or sub-contractors. Joint venture agreements with a seal.

Tender Issuance and Submission
The issue date for this tender is 14th September 2021, and the closing date is 14th October 2021. One Original and three hard copies must be marked with non-erasable ink. The tender responses are to be delivered to the Procurement UnitMaseru District Council’s Tender Box situated at the Department of Rural Roads (DRR) Building, Main North 1, Khubetsoananot later than 10:00 a.m. 14th October 2021. The envelope containing financial and technical proposals, the required company information and other required attachments shall be marked clearly with the words, TENDER FOR MAINTENANCE OF RURAL WATER SUPPLY PROJECTS MDC/RWS/1/2021/2022.
Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders or representatives at 10:05 a.m. on the 14th October 2021 at Maseru District Council’s boardroom.
