Position Details

Title: Logistics Officer

Reports To: Administration Manager

Job Summary (Here you highlight the responsibilities expected to be performed

Under the supervision of Administration Manager, Logistics Officer will coordinate logistical functions in the implementation of Stores SOPs and Property Management in support of the objectives of the country office.

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Be responsible to ensure that proper stock records are maintained.

·       Work closely with Procurement office in verifying and confirming distribution plans with requestor prior to the receiving of goods.

·       Liaise with district teams in ensuring that goods received are safeguarded in store.

·       Ensures timeous distribution of stores as per the Stores SOPs.

·       Advise management on the performance of the stores on monthly basis.

·       Work closely with Procurement office, IT office and Reception in ensuring that all assets received are duly reported for registering.

·       Work with district teams in updating facilities inventories.

·       Support program teams in ensuring that the obsolete and damaged equipment and materials are reported, and advise management for disposition plan.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·       Degree in Business / Public Administration or Degree in Supply Chain Management

·       A proven record of practical attachment during field of study.

·       Understanding of logistics operations and practices.

·       Be fluent in English

·       Computer skills: must have a thorough understanding of MS Office applications to complete routine/moderately complex stores records.

·       Analytical skills: must be able to assess moderately complex information from multiple sources and draw logical conclusions

·       Interpersonal skills : be able to establish and preserve productive partnerships with clients by gaining their trust and respect, as well as nurture an effective working relationship with all stakeholders in property management cycle.

·       Organizational skills : must be able to plan, prioritize, and manage their own activities and office workflow even when working under tight deadlines
