Seinoli Legal Centre (SLC), established in 2014, is the first public interest law center in Lesotho, focused on providing legal support to communities marginalized or adversely affected by the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Over time, SLC has expanded its efforts to advocate for communities impacted by large-scale land-based investments, such as agribusiness initiatives and diamond mining. The center’s mission is to protect social, economic, and environmental rights through strategic litigation, advocacy, and capacity building. SLC plays a critical role in promoting justice and ensuring vulnerable communities have sustained access to legal support.
