Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified professional with the appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of
LIGHT MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC-PATERSON BAND CL (3 x vacancies)
PURPOSE: Diagnoses, maintenance, repairs and services all support machines and light motor vehicles in order to ensure smooth operations and that the company meets the client’s requirements
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnoses, repairs, overhauls and services all tertiary machines, support machines and light vehicles
- Performs preventative maintenance, daily maintenance and backlog repairs as per schedule
- Carry out SOS sampling as per OEM specs on support machines
- Replace major components and ensure quality control on all repairs
- Attends to break downs and emergency calls for repairs and services and record all consumables used
- Supply appropriate record of services, repairs and maintenance as per Concat job cards
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Automotive certificate
- At least 5 years’ experience in a light motor Vehicle Mechanic position in a large organisation
- Auto electrical certificate will be off advantage
- Possession of a valid driver’s license code C
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Sound knowledge of theory and complexities in automotive
- Understanding of company policies/procedures, particularly regarding mining maintenance
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, word etc)
