THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
OPPORTUNITY
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) invites applications from students seeking industrial attachment as a mandatory requirement for the completion of their academic studies.
Duration and Remuneration
The Programme offers internships of six (6) to twelve (12) months, commencing April 2026.
Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses during the internship period.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be currently enrolled at a recognized tertiary institution in Lesotho or South Africa
• The industrial attachment/internship must be a mandatory requirement of the academic programme
• Provide an official letter from the institution confirming the attachment requirement and duration
Fields of Placement / Study
Internship opportunities are available in the following fields:
• Civil Engineering – HR/INTERN/CE/26/1
• Electrical Engineering – HR/INTERN/EE/26/1
• Mechanical Engineering – HR/INTERN/ME/26/1
NB: The LHDA reserves the right to place or not place applicants based on its operational needs and requirements.
