purpose

To develop a comprehensive lending strategy aligned to Segment strategic objectives in area of responsibility to proactively acquire new clients and develop, maintain and expand existing client portfolios

experience and qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification – Relevant Post Graduate Degree in Finance or Economics or Accounting
  • Experience – 3 to 5 years experience in a similar environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally at junior (entry level) management level

responsibilities

  • Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs
  • Translate business strategy into actionable goals and execute relevant projects and initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress and ensure execution
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer base with potentially profitable customers
  • Provide accurate and meaningful information on specialised lending products to internal customers
  • Grow market share and achieve revenue target from existing and new clients
  • Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development
  • Manage team performance in achievement of business objectives
  • Manages risks in own area of responsibility
  • Provide input into the development of the tactical strategy, and develop and implement a supporting operational strategy
  • Creates solutions to meet customer demands to deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
  • Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters
