MG Health Limited is seeking a commercial contracts lawyer to provide support to the Legal and Governance Department. This position will be based in Maseru with the flexibility of working 2 weeks a month remotely.
The successful candidate will provide support for the company’s sales department and finance department focusing primarily on commercial transactions such as sales and capital raises. In addition, he or she will assist with activities such as the preparation and maintenance of contract templates, the preparation and negotiation of contracts for the supply of Cannabis, IP and Plant Breeders Rights.
Responsibilities will include:
- Conducting all aspects of contract drafting and negotiations concerning the supply of cannabis, licensing, non-propagation, research and development and distribution contracts.
- providing support to different departments in a broad range of commercial transactions.
- As appropriate working closely with other in-house lawyers, sales operations and finance staff
- and providing legal advice.
- Managing and streamlining internal processes.
- Vetting of contracts and reviewing of communication to third parties.
Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- BCOM Law and a masters in Commercial studies
- Relevant post qualified experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills and a sound understanding of supply contracts,
- pharmaceutical contracts, and intellectual property.
- Hard-working, well organized and process-driven candidates who have a demonstrated ability
- to manage a diverse workload under demanding deadline pressures.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and strong team orientation for this rewarding
