Vacancy: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Mathematics Education at Master’s level.
- A PhD in Mathematics Education, or evidence of enrolment in the programme, will be an added advantage.
- A proven record of research reflected by accredited journal articles, book chapters, conferences or seminar presentations in the relevant area.
- A minimum experience of three (3) years of teaching courses/subjects in the required area in an institution of higher education or at secondary school level, preferably on a full-time basis.
- A discernible potential/capacity to initiate projects or activities relevant to the teaching and learning of Mathematics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop programmes and courses.
- Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Supervise research at postgraduate level.
- Supervise Teaching Practice.
- Conduct research and present relevant papers at national, regional and international conferences and forums.
- Undertake research and publish in the area of specialisation.
- Engage in community service.
- Diligently perform any other duties as shall be required by the Department and Faculty.
Remuneration
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment Type
One-year fixed-term appointment with a possibility of renewal.
