POSITION: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

DEPARTMENT/SECTION: Business and Management Development – Institute of Extra-Mural Studies (IEMS)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Department – BMD
LOCATION: National University of Lesotho (Maseru – IEMS)
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
• At least a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics or education with a background in business or any Social Sciences discipline. A relevant Doctoral Degree will be an added advantage.
• A Practical teaching and administrative experience of not less than two (2) years in administering programmes in education or Business Management at higher institutions of learning, for a lecturer and
• A Practical teaching and administrative experience of not less than six (6) years in administering programmes in education or Business Management at higher institutions of learning, for a senior lecturer.
• Be familiar with the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode of delivery
• Must have demonstrable capabilities and competencies in the areas: innovation and creativity, problem-solving, team work and leadership, visionary and forward looking,
• Ability and willingness to offer support to diverse distance learners
• Be computer literate.
• Be prepared to work unsociable hours at times.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach and conduct research relevant to the programmes
• Participate in the development of new programmes and reviews of existing programmes,
• Ensure educational quality of the courses in the programme and that the course content is presented in its entirety
• Participate in community outreach programmes
• Coordinate all academic and administrative activities of the programmes offered by the Business and Management Development Department
• Provide the necessary support to students.
