Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in a Public Law field.
- A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Laws (LLD) degree is preferred. Further, applicants must demonstrate competence in handling Public law courses at undergraduate level.
- Teaching experience of one year is required and research requirements shall meet minimum requirements set out in the Appointment and Promotions Criteria/Guidelines for staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank.
- Knowledge of the Thuto online teaching and learning management system is an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise.
- The incumbent should be prepared to handle courses in Private Law and Procedural and Adjectival Law should the need arise.
- Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up to date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law.
- Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
