LECTURER/SENIOR
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The applicant must have a minimum of Master’s degree in Nutrition with strong background in Public Health Nutrition with an undergraduate of Bachelor of Science in Nutrition; with a minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in institution(s) of higher learning. The applicant should have evidence of research experience with publications and/or research reports.
DUTIES:
The successful appointee will be expected to:
- Teach Community Nutrition, Health Promotion and Nutrition throughout the Lifecycle at undergraduate level.
- Supervise students’ dissertations.
- Conduct research and engage in relevant community service activities.
- Have commitment to teaching and learning, including a willingness to become involved in students’ educational development and wellbeing.
- Develop programs and policies for partner institutions to improve nutrition in the country.
- Work with students to ensure maximum benefit from proper diet is possible.
- Have good liaison with relevant professional bodies and hospitals and/or professional practices
- Perform any other duties, including administrative, as may be required by the Department.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Permanent and pensionable for locals and two years renewable contract for expatriates
