The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably
qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer MedicalSurgical/ Adult Health Nursing
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A Registered Nurse who holds a Master Degree, specialized in Adult
Health/ Med- Surgical Nursing
Experience in teaching and / or supervising learners at clinical area/
college/ university.
Be registered with the National Nursing Council.
A PhD holder or
A learner enrolled in PhD; with proof thereof
Evidence of publication in refereed journals will be another added
advantage.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide establishment of a new postgraduate programme
Provide leadership and managerial role to the Department of Nursing
Have an experience and expertise in implementing Competency-based
and E-learning curricula
Enhance research and publications in learners and junior teaching
staff
Promote team-building in the department and faculty
Ability to source research grants
Supervises student’s dissertations
Liaises with other departments in the faculty
Aspire to being a Professor.
Accompanies learners to the clinical areas
Liaises with other departments in the faculty
Supervises student’s dissertations

4.0 REMUNERATION
The University offers salaries and other benefits that are commensurate
with the qualifications and experience of the applicant who shall qualify
for the appointment.
5.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT
The contract shall be permanent and pensionable for local applicants,
and contractual for non-local applicants.
