Health Nursing
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A Registered Nurse who holds a Master Degree, specialized in Adult
Health/ Medical – Surgical Nursing
Experience in teaching and / or supervising learners at clinical area/
college/ university.
Be registered with the National Nursing Council.
PhD holder or learner enrolled in PhD will be an added advantage
Evidence of publication in refereed journals will be another added
advantage.
2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have an experience and expertise in implementing Competency-based
and E-learning curricula
Enhance research and publications in learners and junior teaching
staff
Promote team-building in the department and faculty
Ability to source research grants
Supervises student’s dissertations
Liaises with other departments in the faculty
Aspire to being a Professor
Accompanies learners to the clinical areas
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES
Effective oral and written communication
Leader and manager
Effective in managing emergencies
Change manager
Good listener and empathizer
Preceptor for junior staff
Ability to work under pressure
Has a will to learn new novelties.
3.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Permanent and pensionable for local applicants and contractual for nonlocal applicants.
4.0 REMUNERATION:
