The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer in Theology and Religious Studies.
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* A Master’s /PhD Degree with not less than five (5) years teaching experience in Counselling Psychology, Spiritual/Pastoral Care and Counselling or in Educational/Clinical/Psychology.
* Sound experience in clinical that is, individual and group Counselling practices or psychotherapy.
* Extensive records in research and publishing in areas of Counselling or Educational/Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
* A record-high teaching experience at both the Undergraduate and the Post- Graduate levels from recognized tertiary institutions.
* Experience in Service to the Community.
* Experience in management, mentorship and leadership at academic institutions of higher learning.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teach at both the undergraduate and post-graduate courses.
* Supervise Undergraduate scientific research projects
* Initiate Research in the Department
* Contribute in the development of the Department and the Faculty of Humanities in general.
* Engage in meaningful and productive community activities.
3.0 REMUNERATION:
The University offers competitive salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience of candidates.
4.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT
The appointment will be on permanent and pensionable terms for locals and contract for expatriates.
