The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Public Law

Minimum qualifications and requirements

Applicants for the post of Lecturer must hold a minimum of a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in a Public Law field. Further, applicants must demonstrate competence in handling public law courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Teaching experience and research requirements shall meet minimum requirements set out in the Appointment and Promotions Criteria/Guidelines for teaching and research staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank. Minimum teaching experience required for a Lecturer is 6 months. Knowledge of the Thuto online teaching and learning management system is an added advantage.

Duties and responsibilities

The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise. The incumbent should be prepared to handle courses in Private Law should the need arise. Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up to date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law. Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.

Remuneration

The University offers competitive salaries and other benefits commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Contract

Contract of two (2) years.
