Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics & Electronics, Faculty of Science &
Technology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Department seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer of Physics. Minimum qualification required is M.Sc. in Physics or equivalent. However, a Ph.D. or equivalent shall be an added advantage. A Physicist with specialization / expertise / experience in Materials Science / Nanotechnology / Condensed Matter Physics shall be preferred. Other fields in Applied Physics shall also be considered.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lecturing in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physics and in the fields specified above, designing and implementing experiments related to field of specialisation. Research in relevant fields and supervision of students’ projects. Assisting in the department and faculty administrative duties as and when the need may arise. Be among the leading staff members in the Physics and Electronics Department.
REMUNERATION
The University offers salaries and other benefits that are commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the applicant who shall qualify for the appointment.
TYPE OF CONTRACT
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
