The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension.
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant should have the following credentials:
A PhD with not less than five years teaching experience in Agricultural Economics courses.
Extensive record in research and publishing in Agricultural Economics and other Economics related fields.
Background in Mathematics and Statistics for Agribusiness, Agribusiness Management, Econometrics and research methods.
Experience in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Management and leadership experience at the institution of higher learning.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to developing and teaching various courses in Agricultural Economics, the candidate will be expected to supervise the MSc. and PhD students in the Department, initiate research and mentor junior staff in the department and contribute to further development of the Department and Faculty of Agriculture as a whole. The candidate will be expected to carryout administrative and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Head of the Department and the Dean of the Faculty.

TYPE OF A CONTRACT:
The terms and conditions of service are on the basis of a renewable two year contract.
