The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Teaching & Instructional Design (Instructional Technology) & Clinical Supervision (Instructional Leadership).
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of Masters Degree in Teaching and Instructional Design (Instructional Technology) & Clinical Supervision (Instructional Leadership);
A qualification in teacher education;
A PhD in the related field is preferred;
Taken courses in Instructional Design & Clinical Supervision;
Teaching experience in Instructional Design & Clinical Supervision at an institution of higher learning;
Teaching experience at school level;
A proven research record in the related field;
Knowledge of and experience in the use of learning management systems and various technological platforms used in teaching and learning at higher at higher education.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Lecturer will:
Teach courses in Instructional Design and Clinical Supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
Provide students support to access and use Thuto and Other LMS (e.g. MOODLE, Google Classroom);
Be responsible for Microteaching Programme; Develop assessment tools for Microteaching presentations and portfolios;
Participate in the Faculty’s Teaching Practice Programme.
3.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT:
The appointment will be on permanent and pensionable terms for locals and contract/gratuitable for non-locals subject to completion of probation.
