Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Statistics with some training in Operations Research and / or a Ph. D. in Statistics with some training in Operations Research.
- Some working experience in statistics, which includes experience in teaching at the university level, training of statisticians elsewhere and/or application of statistics in research, in the case of a Lecturer.
- At least sic (6) years of teaching experience at the university level and proven record of research and at least three (3) peer reviewed publications, and already be in the position at the equivalent institution of higher learning at the time of application, in case of a Senior Lecturer.
- Skills in teaching theoretical and applied Statistics courses and Operations Research courses, conducting research and supervision of students’ research projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidate for the respective post of a lecturer/Senior Lecturer will be expected to teach and supervise students’ research projects and participate in research activities of the Department. Whenever it may be found necessary, successful candidate will be assigned any other duty, including administrative duties, in the Department.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Two Years Contract for with a possibility of renewal.
