Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The applicant must:
- Hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Sociology of Education.
Added advantages:
- A PhD in Sociology of Education;
- Have at least two years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level;
- Publications in the relevant field.
Duties and Responsibilities
A successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach relevant courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Undertake research and publish in the relevant area of specialisation, and
- Supervise postgraduate research
- Perform any other duties as shall be determined from time to time by the Department, Faculty and the University.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
