The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Social Work.
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum academic qualification required is a good Master’s Degree in Social Work plus two years field experience in Social Work or teaching experience at tertiary level for Lecturer position. MA/ MSW holders applying for a Lecturer position must have a strong background in research. Ph.D in Social Work will be an added advantage. Evidence of publication in refereed journals will be required. There should be demonstrated interest in Social Work practice.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision of students’ research projects and dissertations;
Teaching at undergraduate level for lecturer and at undergraduate and postgraduate level for senior lecturer;
The incumbent will be expected to conduct research in his/her area of expertise;
Performing other duties required by the Department.
3.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Appointment is
for a two (2) year contract.
