The National University of Lesotho (NUL) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:

FACULTY OF LAW:
POST NO. 1977 SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC LAW

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the Department of Public Law at National University of Lesotho.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the post of Senior Lecturer must hold a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree, preferably with a doctoral degree, while applicants for the post of Lecturer must hold a minimum of an LL.M degree. Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate competence in handling public law courses at undergraduate and post graduate levels. Teaching experience and research requirements shall meet minimum requirements set out in the

Appointment and Promotions Criteria/Guidelines for teaching and research staff at NUL, as per the relevant rank.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be expected to promote the professional development of law students through teaching, supervision and research in his/her area of expertise. The incumbent should have the ability to handle courses taught by the departments of Private Law and Procedural and Adjectival Law should the need arise. Further, the incumbent is expected to develop up to date study materials, deliver lectures and assess students as per the rules and regulations of the Faculty of Law. Administrative duties may also be assigned by the Faculty from time to time.

REMUNERATION
The University offers competitive salaries and other benefits commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Permanent and pensionable for local and contract for non-local applicants.
