Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Public Administration in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies (PAS).
Requirements:
The applicant should have the following credentials:
- A good taught Master’s degree in Public Administration or Public Management.
- Strong background in Comparative Public Administration, Public Sector Human Resource Management, Rural and Development Management and Monitoring and Evaluation in the Public Sector.
- A PhD, with a minimum of one year of teaching experience at institutions of higher learning and publications in peer-reviewed or accredited journals and book chapters, will be an added advantage.
NB: Applicants who have registered for PhD studies should attach progress reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to teach Public Administration courses and supervise students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, engage in research, curriculum development, academic citizenship, and community services activities, and perform any other duties assigned to them by the Department from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
