SENIOR LECTURER/ LECTURER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
The applicants must have: PhD degrees in Political Science; a minimum of five years teaching experience with a PhD at university level; administrative experience; evidence of extensive record of referred and accredited publications. Preference will be given to those who have specialized in various sub-fields of comparative politics, political theory, international relations, international political economy, and political sociology. Local candidates with good Master of Arts in Political Science degrees and some teaching experience at institutions of higher education level will be considered for the post of Lecturer and will be required to proceed for PhD studies at the earliest opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to: teach Political Science courses and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engage in research, curriculum development, academic citizenship, community services activities, and perform any other duties assigned to him/her by the Head of Department from time to time.

Employment Type
This is a two-year contract position for expatriates, and a permanent and pensionable for locals on condition of passing two-year probation.
