SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Political & Administrative Studies.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
The applicants must have:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Public Administration; a minimum of two years teaching experience with a PhD at university level; evidence of extensive record of referred and accredited publications. Preference will be given to those who have specialized in various courses in the field of Public Administrations, preferably Local Government Administration, Public Finance Management, Human Resources Management, Organization Theory and Behaviour, Public Policy Analysis, and Research Methods. Local candidates with good Master of Arts in Public Administration degrees and some teaching experience at institutions of higher education level will be considered for the post of Lecturer and will be required to proceed for PhD studies at the earliest opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be expected to: teach Public Administration courses and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engage in research, curriculum development, academic citizenship, community services activities, and perform any other duties assigned to him/her by the Head of Department from time to time.
