The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER IN
NURSING.

1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • PhD in Nursing with specialization in Community Health Nursing at Masters level
  • At least 3 publications in Refereed/Accredited Journals.
  • At least three years in teaching experience and supervising post graduate learners at College/University level.
  • Be registered with the National Nursing Council.
  • Experience in curriculum development and Measurement and Evaluation.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the design of new postgraduate programs/courses in the Department.
  • Provide leadership role to the junior staff in the Department of Nursing.
  • Participate in implementing Competency-based and E-learning curricula.
  • Conduct teaching at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
  • Enhance research and publications in learners and junior teaching staff.
  • Promote team-building in the Department and Faculty
  • Ability to source research grants.
  • Undertake research and supervises students’ dissertations.
  • Participate in research activities in the Department
  • Liaises with other departments in the faculty.
  • Initiate, participate in and perform any other duty including administration as would be required from time to time by the Head of the Department.

  1. Remuneration:
    The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  1. Type of employment:
    Permanent and pensionable (depending on the age)/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
