The National University of Lesotho (NUL) invites applications from suitably
qualified candidates for the position of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in
Mathematics Education – Faculty of Education
Post No. 0827: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
A candidate must hold a PhD degree in Mathematics Education and have a
Mathematics teaching experience at high school level or tertiary
mathematics teacher education experience. Experience of supervising at
post graduate level will be an added advantage. In addition, the incumbent
must have relevant research experience and a discernible potential/ capacity to initiate projects and activities relevant to the teaching and learning of Mathematics.
Knowledge of learning management system will be an added advantage.
Critical Duties:
• Teaching Mathematics Education courses at both undergraduate and post
– graduate levels,
• Supervising students’ research projects,
• Supervising students during Teaching Practice,
• Conducting research and engaging in relevant Mathematics education
community activities
• Performing any other duties that promote and develop the Science
Education Department or the Faculty of Education as may be assigned
from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with
qualification and experience.

Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for NonLocals.
